Reasons to Spay & Neuter:
1. Spay and neutering is healthier for both males and females. Dogs that have not been neutered often get cancers of their reproductive organs.
2. Spaying and neutering helps prevent behavioral problems. Spaying prevents females from going into heat, while neutering the males makes them less likely to fight other dogs and also lowers the chances of them running away.
3. Puppies and pregnant nursing mothers are expensive to care for. They need to eat a lot in order to stay healthy. They also must be vaccinated and the law requires all dogs that are outdoors to have rabies shots. Puppies can’t get these shots until they are four months old. Until then, the cops can take them away.
4. Millions of animals are killed every year. Bringing more dogs into the world is not right.
